‘THE WALKING DEAD’ 0908 with Tameche and Tracey

A new threat is “unveiled” in The Walking Dead season 9 mid-season finale ‘Evolution’.

The Walking Dead mid-season finale brings old friends face to face. So why are they not so friendly anymore? It looks like we will have to keep waiting to find that out. Meanwhile, Henry tries to make a home away from home at Hilltop only to land himself behind bars. Magna’s group of survivors begins checking out the Hilltop but only once they have turned over their weapons.

Daryl, Dog, Jesus and Aaron rescue Eugene but end up being hunted by an unusual group of walkers. In a most eerie turn of events, we learn that the strange walker behavior actually belongs to some downright scary humans wearing actual walker faces as masks. Sadly, Jesus falls victim to one of these humans now known as The Whisperers.

‘THE WALKING DEAD’ 907 with Tameche and Tracey

The Walking Dead reunites some Alexandrians with Hilltop residents this week. The reunion is short-lived, however, as Eugene is in need of rescue. A search party heads out and we wait for the season 9 mid-season finale.

Tameche and Tracey pair up again this week to talk The Walking Dead. There’s a dog named “Dog”, a haircut, and a violin that falls victim to Michonne’s katana. Characters old and new join forces against the walkers (or sickos). Connie detects a mysterious presence in the woods. We learn that Tara is managing more at the Hilltop than elected leader Jesus. Rosita is rescued but Eugene remains at large among the whispering walkers.

There is a lot to digest. Let’s just hope it’s not walkers eating our favorite characters!

Find out what we liked and disliked this week and see if you agree. Tune in for our predictions and find out what questions linger most in our minds.

‘THE WALKING DEAD’ 906 with Tameche and Tracey

Memories of the past inform new developments in Alexandria in The Walking Dead episode 906.

Much time has passed on The Walking Dead, six years we are told. Some characters look different and there are some new characters all together. While there is definitely a theme of change, some things remain the same.

Tameche and Tracey break down the episode this week using a yearbook format. You may recall flipping through yearbooks to see what people looked like at that point in time. You can find also out what activities they were enjoying. We take that same approach this week asking what each character looks like and what are they up to.

We can certainly review a snapshot of the current status of our characters. But with so much time having passed, there are several mysteries about what has transpired in the last six years. We are definitely left wondering what happened to make Michonne so adamant about not welcoming new residents.

There is most definitely a void without Rick Grimes. His “presence” is felt throughout the episode, however, as we see Michonne still “talking” to him and giving Judith a figurine in his likeness. Even Judith herself talks about her dad and tells her mom, Michonne, that she thinks her dad would agree with her bringing in the strangers.

So, please check out what we have to say about our 20 plus group of current characters including those we did not see tonight. Tell us who we missed! We know we missed a discussion on Jesus, but it would have been a brief one as he was not seen in this episode.

A smorgasbord of talk!

I hope you will continue following me here as “Talk Colony” expands to a broader scope as “The Talk Colony”!

Even though Colony USA was cancelled, I still wanted to keep the page, website, and podcast feed going for:
— fans who have not yet discovered Colony
— existing fans who have bonded over the show
— and a place to share other podcasts I host in collaboration with So Many Shows
There may even be some non-TV (gasp!) podcasting to share down the road – thanks for tagging along for this “smorgasbord of talk”!

Talk Colony Podcast #47: Discuss episode 3.12 ‘Bonzo’

We are talking Colony episode 3.12 titled ‘Bonzo’. Jay is back to help Tracey break down an action packed installment of the series.

We talk about Kynes communicating with one of the hosts’ enemy aliens whom Kynes refers to as “her”. It is a mysterious encounter that leaves Kynes a little winded with a message scribbled on his arm.

Jay and Tracey talk about Katie being sidelined from the Resistance action while Amy gets called up for her medical skill set. Jay breaks down the rescue mission to get Kynes out of the Bonzo black site. There are close calls, casualties, and a very narrow escape for an injured Everett Kynes.

The episode leaves us with the Bowman family separated. Will is operating dangerously solo. Katie is alone at home, but she does not even know it. Bram and Gracie take refuge at Meadow’s house.
