Talk Colony Podcast dissects Colony episode 3.02 and gets some “Buzz from the Bloc” from Tory Kittles who plays Broussard.
It’s time to talk about season 3 episode 2 of Colony on the Talk Colony Podcast. Eric Broussard is literally trying to put the pieces back together after the Rendition of the Los Angeles Bloc. He makes some new friends along the way and uncovers some disturbing information.
Helena learns that the Factory is no more and Snyder plays uncle to the Bowman kids. The Bowmans take a cereal train ride to the Resistance camp.
Tracey and Jay comment on the storylines and raise some interesting questions. The co-hosts also tackle the usual podcast segments:
- Who “owned” the episode?
- Biggest Reveal
- Josh Holloway hair flip ratings
And, finally, we get the “buzz” that Jay has been waiting for – great scoop straight from our hero, actor Tory Kittles.
Be sure to check out our outgoing music from Moon on iTunes. We treat you to a sample of their song “I Got A Fever” which was featured in Season 1 Episode 5 of Colony.

1st time here, tweet-ferred by Official Peter who probably tired of me tweeting about Eric Broussard & thought this podcast would be good for me. Indeed it was. Pleased to learn that we’re in agreement on many developments in the story and that despite Jay’s jealousy, Broussard is the man, he’s returned to the scene, swagger in tact.
We are, all of us, united in a key observation: Yes, it’s unlike Will to be so compliant with people he doesn’t know. Both Will & Broussard are alpha males who just would not hand over the Holy Grail to a lesser mortal. My thinking is that there’s a Plan B, C, D, & E. Maybe it’s not the gauntlet at all but a facsimile he’s rigged up to give him time to test these people. Bram is pretty high tech, so I could see him & Will putting together a passable fake.
Snyder, I suspect, will end up loving those kids too much to betray them. What is success, after all, w/o friends & love? It’s good that he might change cuz he was a prime candidate for the factory in my book. (And about the factory–I thought it was on the moon. Hope the moon didn’t blow up!)
The best for last: Eric Broussard is just a thrilling character & an important reason I’m drawn to Colony. You’re right in that he is changing, which developed toward the end of the first season when he asked Katie to come back to the Resistance & be his right hand. He trusts her & he trained her & that partnership has helped him open up. Watching them run the operation to capture a Rap revealed how both of them had evolved, and that’s the key to interpreting story–once you understand the characters, you can understand the action.
The other key observation we share: Broussard probably isn’t accepting everything he’s been told by Dispatch; one must earn Broussard’s trust through deeds not words. Like Will, he’ll bide his time, keep his eye on her and put her through the tests. If she fails, he’ll shoot her in the head.
Finally, Snyder/Peter Jacobson: I can’t recall a role in which Jacobson didn’t play a character who was a talker. Even on Twitter, he’s a talker, somehow seeming to defeat the character limitations. His charm.
Next week!
So good to hear from a Broussard fan! Thanks for the comments! I see these were in reference to episode 2 – very interesting to revisit them now that we are through episode 4. Have you changed your mind on anything?
